Enrollment: For the initial enrollment, all the documentation requested and described in the Vestibular (College entrance exam) Manual must be delivered to the Administrative Office. If this does not occur within the time provided for in the calendar, the enrollment may be canceled. All of our undergraduate courses are organized by discipline on a semiannual basis and re-enrollments are made at two times of the year, July and December. For this to happen, the contract and the enrollment form, which you receive at the end of each semester, duly completed, must be delivered to the Administrative Office. Be sure to renew your enrollment within the deadlines set in the calendar.
Leave of absence: Partial and/or total leave of absence per course is granted to keep the student linked to the University and to assure them the right to renew their enrollment, when their studies are temporarily interrupted. Leave of absence is prohibited before completion of at least one semester. Leave of absence is valid for two years, consecutive or not. The student who requests leave of absence during the school term, only after the end of one semester, remains under the obligation to pay off the installment corresponding to the month in which they filed their request. Leave of absence during the semester can only be requested within the deadline set in the academic calendar.
The evaluation of school performance is made by subject focusing on attendance and achievement. Attendance to classes is mandatory, absences not provided for by law cannot be cleared. Regardless of the result obtained, students who do not attend at least 75% (seventy-five percent) of classes and other activities are considered to have failed the course.
Learning checks can include: written, oral, graphic tests, seminars, arguments, practical assignments, among others, laid down in the bylaws.
Students will have two bimonthly grades per course, from which the arithmetic average will be obtained. If it is greater than 7.0 (seven), the student will be approved, observing the 75% minimum attendance.
The bimonthly and final exam grades will be graded from 0 (zero) to 10 (ten), allowing only a fraction of 0.5 (half) point. If the average is less than 7.0 (seven) and greater than 3.0 (three), the student must take the exam.
In the exam, the passing average must be equal to or higher than 6.0 (six), and it will be that resulting from the arithmetic average between the grade of this test and the average of the bimonthly grades.
Attention: Notes and absences will only be informed on the internet, accessing with your RA and PASSWORD on the Academic Portal.
Test revision: The student will be guaranteed, as long as duly substantiated and instructed, at least, with the copy of the test and the respective answers, the right to request, individually, the test revision, within 3 (three) working days from the date of the test in the classroom, in a specific request obtained from the Administrative Office. If the student has not appeared in class on the date of the test, the deadline will begin to run from the date of publication of the note on the UDC Centro website. For the purposes of the test revision request, only Sundays and holidays are excluded from the counting of the term, considering that Saturday is considered an academic day.
Academic concession: An academic concession may be granted to the student who, having failed to attend the exams or final exam, proves legal impediment, illness, medical certificate or reason of force majeure duly proven and request it, within 2 (two) days from the date of its realization (with the due financial charges). The student may request an academic concession of a single bimonth per course. The academic concession tests of bimonthly tests will be held at the end of each academic semester, the content of which will cover all the content taught during that semester. If the student fails to attend the academic concession test, they will be assigned 0 (zero).
The student may request exemption from courses offered in the current semester, presenting the following documents: a) School transcript containing workload, concept or grade and final result - original document; b) Evaluation system used - photocopy; c) The programs of the courses taken at the institution of origin, with the respective stamp - photocopy;
Requests will be analyzed based on the documents submitted, with a decision within 72 hours.
After analysis, the student is included in the enrollment by course, being able to take the course of the following semester, following the existing prerequisites.
In the case of the student enrolled in the initial semester, via the selection process, the enrollment will correspond to the full amount of the 1st installment, and the exemptions from disciplines will be discarded as of the 2nd installment.
In the case of the student enrolled via internal and external transfer, the enrollment will be in the amount corresponding to the courses to be taken according to the equivalence previously analyzed.
Attention: For the equivalence of courses and the program of the course taken at another institution to occur, it must be at least 75% of the content and workload of UDC Centro.
