In order to become able to practice law, it is necessary to undergo an examination by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), an entity of the Professional Training and Ethics Inspection Class. They practice law in the public or private sector, in the judiciary, in the Public Ministry, among other areas.

The Lawyer has several career options. They can practice law as a professional, working in companies, government agencies and offices, providing legal advice and consultancy. He may also be a Chief of Police, Judge of Law or Public Prosecutor. In whatever option they choose, their primary task will be to apply and defend the Law, ensuring compliance with the rules and norms that order social life.
